Exmoor Coast Holidays at Caffyns Farm

Help us look after our local environment

We love Caffyns’ idyllic location and the people who live around us also love this beautiful coastal part of Exmoor. We all strive to maintain the peace, tranquillity and respect for our local landscape, and ask that you do the same during your stay here. After all, it’s the very character of this place that attracts people and we would all like it to stay that way. So please help us protect this environment by following the five points below:

1. Respect the properties and rights of way of our neighbours

2. Do not leave litter – we have many bins and recycling facilities on site

3. Keep noise to a minimum, be considerate of others

4. Keep dogs under proper control at all times

5. Endeavour to arrive and leave between the hours of 8 am and 9 pm

That’s it... just basic respect for the local area and the local people, and that way we will keep the charm that this place offers everyone. Happy camping!

...to being away from it all, and still close to so much. No, that is not a contradiction, and yes, that is all sea and sky behind our home at Caffyns Farm.

Having run Doone Valley Holidays from Cloud Farm for seven years, we felt that it was time to spread our wings. So when the opportunity to buy Caffyns Farm on the coast near Lynton came up, we knew it was the perfect place to re-locate and re-name the business Exmoor Coast Holidays. And while Cloud Farm was beautiful, Caffyns is in a league of its own...

With 160 acres (over half of it flat and with a perfect mix of secluded and open fields) set in one of Exmoor's most beautiful coastal locations, with our own stream running through a beautiful wooded combe, and with a range of outbuildings suitable for development, Caffyns gives us the scope to offer the perfect Exmoor camping and holiday destination to all-comers. We are one of the few campsites officially licensed by North Devon Council.

Caffyns is a totally unique destination in its own right; the peace, seclusion, space and views are stunning, the atmosphere is stress-free. There is so much land, sea, sky and horizon here, that even in high season, it will still feel uncrowded and relaxing! And yet we are easily accessible, less than ten minutes from Lynton and Lynmouth and close to all the North Devon towns, tourist attractions, beaches and countryside that people love. Camping here with us gives you the perfect base to do whatever you want...walking, touring, riding (from our own stables), cycling (we have our own bike hire), or just relaxing in our acres of tranquil countryside and admiring the views...from the lovely hills and valleys that surround us to panoramic views over the Valley of Rocks, Lee Bay and the sea beyond. And when you want to explore, Exmoor's  scenery, legends, coasts, moors and villages are all here on our doorstep, still unspoilt, uncrowded and largely undiscovered. With our range of secluded campsite areas (and yes we still allow campfires), camping facilities and supplies, plus the warm, relaxed welcome that we became famous for while at Cloud Farm, you'll  soon see that this is a holiday retreat like no other.

We look forward to seeing you soon.
